Olympus Power, who develop commercial Low Carbon energy solutions and Smart Microgrids for businesses across the UK, have been awarded their second Sunday Times Best Places to Work award.

This fast-growing company, with headquarters in Exeter and three further offices across the UK are celebrating this week after featuring in the Sunday Times (12th May). The experienced team is focussed on delivering large-scale commercial & industrial solar, battery and Wind powered systems across the UK and Europe.

These technologies are deployed in a bespoke and integrated framework which is linked to AI software giving businesses a competitive advantage in energy savings and added efficiencies.  By deploying these smart technologies Olympus is able to bring down power costs and decarbonise businesses as traditional energy prices have risen and Net Zero agendas grow ever more critical.

So how has this business powered up and continued to expand through a recession, as well as bringing skills into the team to remain at the forefront of technological expertise?

Simon Nicholls,  CEO: “We are so pleased to have been awarded one of the Best Places to Work awards for the second year in a row. Olympus Power has a fantastic offering for UK businesses – reliably cheaper power combined with lower carbon emissions on a bespoke technology platform. Renewable energy technology is a win-win, and the benefits for the environment and companies motivates the team every day.”

“We are truly delighted to receive this accolade. It shows our commitment to upskilling our employees as well as attracting experienced new staff; a positive workplace culture runs throughout the company.”

Olympus Power’s mission – to save one million tonnes of carbon emissions by 2025  and five million tonnes by 2030 – is well on track. As well as roof-mounted onsite solar for commercial premises and ground-mounted solar power solutions for industrial land, the forward-thinking team are designing fully off grid solutions that combine a range of technologies all integrated into a smart AI-back platform.

Vanessa Zalman, General Manager: “This is a very positive place to work, and we feel part of something truly special – helping UK companies meet their environmental targets. The work we do is important, and part of a global movement.”

The Sunday Times Best Place to Work awards are selected on the results of an employee survey, with 35 questions on topics ranging from reward and recognition to empowerment and wellbeing.

The Times and The Sunday Times, said: “Only entrants who meet our strict engagement criteria are recognised by The Sunday Times; you should be extremely proud of your achievement.”

The staff at Olympus Power appreciate the trust in them, the company mission and the great working environment.
